I was told that the new 3ds xl would be compatible with ds games.

I have tried plugging in Pokemon diamond and Black version 2 but every  time it goes to a black screen with the message "An error has occurred.  Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off. Please refer to  the Operations Manual for details."

How can I fix this problem?

So there is Nintendo DS, DSi, DS Lite, DSi Lite, DSi XL, 3DS and what ever combo I missed. It seems impossible to find info that compares all these models to EACHOTHER.

I am planning on going to a store once I get some time to get a DS along with a pokemon game and a harvest moon game (Im a girl shut up I love harvest moon!)

Anyways I want to know what each model has as far as capabilities compared to each model? I heard theres a memory card in one of them like the PSP, so you can put music, movies etc on the system? Could I put read files so I can put books in the DS?

Anyways can someone either list the differences or point me to a safe site that lists them?

This process does NOT require you to open up the system. The first thing you do is take out the battery and leave it out for about 4 hours. After about 4 hours, put the battery back in. Now try using your DSI/DSI XL for a while and see if it keeps working. If it freezes, reset it. If you get blank screens and/or error code 0000FE00 again, do the following process: Take the battery out for about 4 hours again, then insert an SD card for backup data. Put the battery in, then it's up to you to backup all the data that you can before it crashes again. If it crashes before you backup all the data that you want to, repeat the process again then backup the rest of the stuff. Now it's time to fix it. If it up and running still, then take advantage of that time and format the system memory. This will reset the entire DSI, so that's why I reccomended making backup data. When you turn it back on, it will act like you just bought it. Go through the system setup, then put your backup SD card back in. Copy all your backup data back onto your DSI, and done. If you don't know how to backup your data, let me know.

One of the reasons I got my 3DSxl was to encourage me to use my elliptical.

While I love playing it while exercising, as I have a ledge that fits it perfectly on the elliptical's dashboard, there's no way to log steps while using the elliptical unless I commit my hands to holding it or just having it in my pocket (which I do anyway around the house).

Is there a clip-on pedometer that'll transmit/log my steps to my 3ds through some sort of connection? It doesn't have to be perfect.

It won't ruin my day if there's nothing out there that can do that, but I figured it could only help me to see if there's options. Shin Megami Tensei 4 is right at my sort of difficulty, but I wouldn't mind having some coins around for any frustrating missions later in the game.

Answer: You can't view pictures from other sources on the Nintendo DSi.  You can only view pictures taken with the Nintendo DSi camera.

I need some help concerning the following problem: I am unable to use any multiplayer and network functions.

Everytime I want to play a multiplayer game, the game crashes or nothing happens.

It is also not possible to connect to the Internet. The system detects our local network and the connection test is successful but when I start the browser no connection is established.

Every time I try to download software i get this error. The amount of data transferred is variable sometimes it's 0% other times it goes to 99% stops and throws this error. I'm not sure what to do, I may call nintendo directly.

Answer: Yes, if you use an SD Card and you have an SD Card Reader on your computer.  Just take the pictures to the SD card, insert the SD card to your SD Card Reader, and you can view the pictures with your picture viewing software.  You can also upload photos to Facebook with the latest Firmware Update.

Question: Can I copy photos from my computer to an SD card and view them/copy them to my Nintendo DSi?
Answer: You can't view pictures from other sources on the Nintendo DSi.  You can only view pictures taken with the Nintendo DSi camera.

Answer: Some users have been able to solve this problem by resetting the system. To do so, hold down every button while the system is on except the D-Pad and power buttons. Otherwise if the problem continues you'll likely need to send in your system for repair. Question: My Nintendo DSi camera is working properly but when I power the system on, no pictures are showing on the top screen. How do I fix this?
Answer: Power on the system and select the "Camera" icon from the Nintendo DSi menu. Select "Album" to open the photo album (on the System section where you saved your photos into your DSi). Answer: No, while you're able to copy games to an SD card, the games can only be played from the original Nintendo DSi they were downloaded from.

Answer: The only official way you could remedy the stylus coming out would be to purchase another stylus.

Answer: The SD card size limit is a 32GB SDHC card although the maximum amount of photos and songs are 3,000 each. Keep in mind; these limits are still in place even if you are way below the actual storage limit of your SD card.

Question: What is the best way to clean the screens on the Nintendo DSi system?
Answer: If the screens on your Nintendo DSi have visible smudges, fingerprints, or other foreign material on them, you can clean them by using a soft clean cloth such as a lens or eyeglass cleaning cloth. Slightly dampen the cloth with water ONLY and wipe off the screens to loosen any dirt or foreign material. Use a dry cloth, wipe the screens to dry them and finish the cleaning process. If needed, repeat the process.
