I've had my DSi since December 25, 2012 and my Wii since December 25, 2009. They both connected to the Internet easily. Up until Sunday, they BOTH stopped. My phone and computer work perfectly. I registered my sisters old Dsi to my account and did not receive the 100 coins, instead a pop up  came up and said that I did not qualify for the 90 day extension. Will I not get the coins or whats going on here?

Why on the DSi, DSi XL and 3DS there's no more GBA compatibility but on DS and DS Lite we can play GBA games without problems?

This process does NOT require you to open up the system. The first thing you do is take out the battery and leave it out for about 4 hours. After about 4 hours, put the battery back in. Now try using your DSI/DSI XL for a while and see if it keeps working. If it freezes, reset it. If you get blank screens and/or error code 0000FE00 again, do the following process: Take the battery out for about 4 hours again, then insert an SD card for backup data. Put the battery in, then it's up to you to backup all the data that you can before it crashes again. If it crashes before you backup all the data that you want to, repeat the process again then backup the rest of the stuff. Now it's time to fix it. If it up and running still, then take advantage of that time and format the system memory. This will reset the entire DSI, so that's why I reccomended making backup data. When you turn it back on, it will act like you just bought it. Go through the system setup, then put your backup SD card back in. Copy all your backup data back onto your DSI, and done. If you don't know how to backup your data, let me know.

Slightly dampen the cloth with water ONLY and wipe off the screens to loosen any dirt or foreign material. Use a dry cloth, wipe the screens to dry them and finish the cleaning process. If needed, repeat the process.

I got an error code 3-2435-8325 on my DSi Xl on both screens. It came about when I was trying to play a game thru the "connect" part. I didn't have the game so it downloaded the game from the other 3DS. I have tried calling the 1 800 number , but all I get is a " we are busier than normal so try out or tech forum online" story.

I have searched elsewhere and NOT found anything about this error code except the other discussion about it that said it was an abnormal code. please help. My ds has been freezing up everytime I try playing other games on it. I can play anywhere from 5 min to 45 min but it always eventually freezes. Hope you can help. Thank you.

IS Flipnote no longer available? When to the DSI store and the Free section (as always. this is pretty routine at this point)....
No Flipnote. Really, no anything. Just DSi Browser and Transfer to 3ds tool.


is there a way to down load it via DSi browser or is it perminantly removed from  store?

I was told that the new 3ds xl would be compatible with ds games.

I have tried plugging in Pokemon diamond and Black version 2 but every  time it goes to a black screen with the message "An error has occurred.  Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off. Please refer to  the Operations Manual for details."

doesn't do anything.  It just says looking for software available for download.  It will stay there forever doing that.  also when I am in the set up pages and I go to transfer nintendo WFC configuation it will say awaiting a response from the destination system.  choose ds download play on the destination system and then download nintendo wfc configuation transfer utility.  Why is this happening and why something like this is not listed in troubleshooting?  This is not something a company wants to do to a new customer. 

So, because nintendo is shuting down the wifi for the wii and Ds, will we still be able to transfer pokemon? It uses "Download play" and the gba cart, so will we still be able to trnasfer them after the shut down? I need an answer quick, so thanks in advance!

Answer: Power on the system and select the "Camera" icon from the Nintendo DSi menu. Select "Album" to open the photo album (on the System section where you saved your photos into your DSi). Select any picture you like to be put on the top screen on the DSi menu. Above the picture are four icons: the star, the clover, the heart and finally the Facebook icon. Select the star so that picture can be placed on the top screen of your Nintendo DSi menu. Your picture should now be displaying on top of your Nintendo DSi screen

Answer: All saved information will be lost when formatting the Nintendo DSi. However, the Nintendo DSi Shop account is separate.  You should be able to go into the Nintendo DSi Shop and download the software previously installed, free of charge.

Question: Is it possible to copy over some of my downloaded Nintendo DSiWare games onto an SD card and play them on another Nintendo DSi system?
Answer: No, while you're able to copy games to an SD card, the games can only be played from the original Nintendo DSi they were downloaded from.

Question: My Nintendo DSi's stylus doesn't stay in the slot anymore, I examined it and the bump that holds it in is worn off. What should I do?
Answer: The only official way you could remedy the stylus coming out would be to purchase another stylus.

Question: When going into the Nintendo DSi photo album, my system tends to freeze up and I can’t make any selections, how do I fix this?
Answer: If your Nintendo DSi is in a tight carrying case, make sure that the L and R buttons are not being pressed while you attempt to go into the photo album, as this may be the cause of the problem.

Question: Is the Nintendo DS Lite microphone/headset compatible with the Nintendo DSi?
Answer: Yes, the microphone/headset plugs into the same connector on the Nintendo DSi as it did on the Nintendo DS Lite.

Answer: No, while you’re able to copy DSiware games to an SD card for storage, in order to play the games they must be copied back to the Nintendo DSi system memory.

Question: I purchased two Nintendo DSi systems and one of them appears to be missing a few options; web browser and Flipnote studio. How do I get these applications?
Answer: Some of the new Nintendo DSi systems have these applications pre-loaded on the system. For systems that don’t; you simply need to connect online to the DSi Shop application, click on DSi Ware>Free>Flipnote/Web Browser. You can download the applications free of charge!

Question: Some of the Nintendo DSiWare games say "multiplayer," do both Nintendo DSi's need to have the game downloaded to play together?
Answer: It depends on the game. Some will allow you to play off of one copy of the game, while others will require that each player have a copy. The games description will normally specify which multiplayer options are available.

Question: What is the highest amount of memory for SD cards the Nintendo DSi will read?
Answer: The SD card size limit is a 32GB SDHC card although the maximum amount of photos and songs are 3,000 each. Keep in mind; these limits are still in place even if you are way below the actual storage limit of your SD card.

Question: Is it ok to play my Nintendo DSi while it is plugged into the AC Adapter and charging? Will this have any effect on the battery?
Answer: Yes it is perfectly fine to play the Nintendo DSi while it is charging. This will have no ill effect on the battery, although it may just take longer to achieve a full battery charge while you play.

Question: Is it possible to play multiplayer games between a Nintendo DSi and a DS Lite? If so how?
Answer: Yes the Nintendo DSi is fully compatible with wireless multiplayer play with the DS Lite and original DS systems. Depending on the game, some games require each user to have a copy of the game while other games only require one copy. Check the games description for more details.

Answer: After you take a photo, it will automatically be stored to the memory unless you tap the SD card option.

Answer: Yes, while the Nintendo DSi styli are a little longer, the DS Lite styli do fit comfortably into the Nintendo DSi’s stylus holder.

Answer: While you may be able to simply delete the internet channel and re-download the browser through the Nintendo DSi shop channel, if this does not resolve the issue, formatting the systems memory should fix the problem.

Answer: Double check in the system settings and make sure that the U.S. is actually selected and not some other country by mistake.

Answer: Go into the data management in the system settings and select the game/application. Then press delete.

Question: Is it possible to listen to music stored on an SD Card while playing games on the Nintendo DSi?
Answer: No, this feature is not supported; you can only do 1 thing at a time.

Question: I’ve noticed that flash and java don't work with the Nintendo DSi, any way to fix that?
Answer: No. The Nintendo DSi is incapable of running flash. It is unknown if there will be support in the future.

Question: What is the best way to clean the screens on the Nintendo DSi system?
Answer: If the screens on your Nintendo DSi have visible smudges, fingerprints, or other foreign material on them, you can clean them by using a soft clean cloth such as a lens or eyeglass cleaning cloth. Slightly dampen the cloth with water ONLY and wipe off the screens to loosen any dirt or foreign material. Use a dry cloth, wipe the screens to dry them and finish the cleaning process. If needed, repeat the process.

My daughter got a DS1 for Christmas and it keeps going to a blank screen with the code 0000FE00 in the top corner.  Anyone have any input on this?  I don't know anything about these, so thats not helping me, and i have a very disappointed kid n my hands!!  It was her #1 list item!

I was once able to press up arrow select and b  to erase a game and it doesn't  work any more. Any ideas or help would be great. I get no response when I press this key combination from the title screen. I get this response from 3 different game cartridges. Pokemon white, Pokemon white version 2, and Pokemon black version 2

I've had my DSi for years now, always worked perfectly fine. I never dropped it, never forced a cartridge into it, never let liquids near it... Today when I went to play on it, I realized the games (which are originally for the DS, but I've always played them with no issues) were running abnormally fast. This is particularly troublesome with my copy of 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors, which is a visual novel and has an option to skip the text. That one game in particular is stuck skipping the text nonstop, and because of that I can't read it nor access the menu. Other games just play strangelly fast, especially the text. I have tested them on a different system and they work fine. I tried rebooting my DSi, letting the battery run out and recharging, and even restoring it to the factory's settings.  I haven't updated the firmware because I feared it could somehow make the problem worse. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem or what to do about it? A friend suggested it's not differentiating the DS games from DSi games, and thus running them with DSi settings and the processor is too fast for these games. Could that be the case? If so, is there any way to know why this is happening or how to force it back into DS mode?
